(FILES) Supporters of Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata cheer for their team and its new coach, Argentine former football star Diego Armando Maradona, before the start of their Argentina First Division Superliga football match against Racing Club, at El Bosque stadium, in La Plata, Buenos Aires province, Argentina, on September 15, 2019. The trial over Diego Maradona's death enters its final stage in early October 2026 after almost six months of hearings, with the question still unresolved as to whether the football icon's death in late 2020 was unforeseeable or the result of medical negligence during his home care.
